And yes, Sprayberry is an out-loud Donald Trump supporter who, according to her Facebook page, takes pride in being in his basket of deplorables. The comment from Sprayberry came after Craig confronted Fort Worth Police about a white man allegedly choking her 7-year old black son.
Lana Sprayberry, principal of Inspired Vision Academy Elementary School in Dallas, is under fire after her post about Jacqueline Craigwho, along with her two daughters, was assaulted by a Fort Worth, Texas, police officer Wednesdaywent viral.
Stop trying to act innocent, Sprayberry wrote on Facebook. If you had kept your fat mouth shut the cop would not have had a reason to cuff! I wouldnt blame every cop to walk off their job in protest!!! Lord help us!!!
It is unclear under which post Sprayberry made the comment, or if she was speaking about Craig, 46, her daughter Brea Hymond, 19, or Craigs 15-year-old daughter. Lee Merritt, attorney for the Craig family, posted the screenshot and asked followers to verify:
Within two hours, A+Charter Schools, Inc., the corporate charter system in which Inspired Elementary operates, issued the following statement on Facebook:
We are aware of a Facebook comment made by one of our A+ Charter Schools, Inc. employees. While we are unable to comment on this personnel issue, we can share that we are taking this very seriously, and are further investigating the situation.

As previously reported by The Root, Craig called Fort Worth police after a white male neighbor choked her 7-year-old son after accusing him of littering. The man admitted to assaulting the child because the child had defied him. When police arrived on the scene, the officer was much more concerned with condescending to and antagonizing Craig.

(1,551 posts)It's not like she manufactured widgets on a line in a factory. She has authority over educators and children. She expressed no outrage that a child of color was choked by a neighbor - but took the time to post an almost inconceivable reaction to the video - criticizing the mother of the child victim. There's no way her judgement is sound enough to have the makings of a "good principal".
