MD Anderson President DePinho Announces Resignation
MD Anderson Cancer Center President Ronald DePinho announced Wednesday he’s resigning his position.
In a video message posted on the MD Anderson website, DePinho said it is time for a change in leadership – a little more than five years after he was appointed.
The resignation comes after the cancer center recorded losses of $266 million in fiscal year 2016 and nearly $170 million in the first four months of fiscal 2017.
In January, MD Anderson announced it was laying off about 5 percent of its workforce.
