Donate Your Old Bike and Help Evergreen’s Education Program!

https://www.evergreenmtb.org/blog/donate-a-bike-and-help-evergreen-s-education-program

Has your child outgrown his or her bike (or gotten a new one for the holidays)? Are you unsure what to do with that old bike? Or maybe you have one taking up space in the garage that you’re deciding whether to go through the hassle of selling or just give away.

Well we have the solution! Donate it to Evergreen today and support the next generation of riders!

By donating a mountain bike to Evergreen you can help kids without bikes learn to love the trail! Evergreen is developing a program to assist and empower youth who don’t have access to mountain biking. This program gives us an opportunity to teach the components of mountain biking awesomeness to ALL young would-be riders—regardless of bike ownership!

But we need your help. There are many challenges before implementing this program. The first is acquiring good mountain bikes for participants to use. For that reason (while we will have technicians perform tune-ups on the donated bikes) we ask that only good, functioning mountain bikes be donated. We are looking for a range of sizes starting at the largest juniors bike (24” wheels) to all sizes of adult bikes, especially 13” frames. And because of our limited storage space, we are currently seeking 6 bikes.

We all know many benefits to mountain biking. You can help Evergreen introduce more kids to the health, adventure, and joy of a lifetime on two wheels.

If you are interested in contributing a bike to this effort or if you have questions, please contact Mike Sidwell – msidwell@evergreenmtb.org.
