Washington regulators are rushing to figure out what the long-awaited proposal to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act means for residents in the state.
The proposed bill would eliminate the mandate requiring people to have health insurance and replace federal insurance subsidies with individual tax credits and expanded health savings accounts.
House Republicans are also suggesting a roll back of Medicaid coverage, which was expanded under the ACA, also known as Obamacare.
The plan does retain the popular Obamacare provision that allowed anyone who is 26 or younger to stay on their parents' insurance and a mandate that requires insurers to cover pre-existing conditions.
