John Shephard enlisted the help of Pete Nelson, a treehouse builder featured on Animal Planets Treehouse Masters television show, to construct the treehouse he now leases as bed and breakfast on Cottage Lake near Woodinville. (Ian Terry / The Herald)
WOODINVILLE Tree houses are growing up.
Take the one in the back yard of John and Beth Shephards home.
It was built by Pete Nelson, the Fall City contractor who doubles as the star of the reality television show Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet.
The Shephards had stayed at Nelsons Treehouse Point in Fall City; it was a birthday present for John Shephard about 10 years ago.
We went there and really liked it and it was charming and one thing led to another, John Shephard said. Weve always been fanciful were both musicians and somehow we decided we were going to have a tree house.

(112,167 posts)2. I would like a full bathroom and WiFi
so I could hang out for a week at a time.

(15,682 posts)3. Now that you mention it,
I was thinking it would need a computer station - room for two screens/monitors, with WiFi, of course. I too would need the full bath. But don't get me started. A small art studio wing up a step on another branch would be amazing!
Hmm. I think maybe I need a bigger tree.
