Menard's contract threatens managers with 60% pay cut if union forms on their watch

It's no secret that John Menard is opposed to unions. But the Progressive magazine has obtained a copy of a contract agreement between Menard's home-improvement store chain and managers that enshrines the billionaire's anti-union stance in company policy.

The Progressive published a story Tuesday with wording from the contract that threatens Menards store managers with a 60-percent pay cut if they allow employees to vote in a union.

I've never understood an owner's hostility towards labor, but wow.

I don't work at Menards, but I am in middle management and I can empathize with supervisors and labor on this.

I didn't like their return policies if you pay by check, and with all the signs posted around the walls, I felt like I was considered a potential thief rather than a customer. He actually replied and told me there were so many thieves, that's the only way they could conduct business.

It has changed a bit since then, but I've only been inside the store once or twice in that time. I have no interest in adding profit to his pocket and I certainly wouldn't want to be an employee.

People/workers in this country have the right to assemble. We started this country IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION for crissake.

He wants subservient, compliant, silent employees, working under duress, with the threat of loss of income or loss of employment in its entirety, so he can make more PROFIT for himself. Then he takes that profit and flies asshat Gov. Scott Wanker around the state in Menard's private plane.

Oh and lest we forget...This is the same John Menard who was busted for throwing HAZARDOUS WASTE from his manufacturing facility out in his home garbage can. Potentially poisoning the sanitation workers and the rest of us. AGAIN, FOR HIS m*****f******* PROFIT.

He needs to be arrested right along with Diane Hendricks, Scottie Wanker and the GOP/TEA bags for committing treason against the peoples of our (formerly) fine State of Wisconsin.

Piss me off some more will ya? I feel another Wisconsin Protest season coming soon.
