Papua New Guinea reveals plans for security agreement with Australia and New Zealand- ABC News (Aus)
Papua New Guinea has confirmed it's discussing signing a security treaty with Australia amid growing tensions in the region. Peter Hartcher, international editor with the Sydney Morning Herald, tells The World a treaty would add to what is already a deep military arrangement between the two countries.
