1. It's a scandal I would expect to widen a little

But I'm actually looking more to see if it will spread to other banks.

.... but how can you trust the word of any of these spivs, even under oath?

It would be hard to imagine the level of public discourse and administration sinking any lower - but I fear we ain't seen nuthin' yet.
