Iphone help please.

I have ios 7.1. On google maps app I would like to be able to change my route. Recently I mapped direction to a destination and found one of three choices I preferred. Later when I was going to actually follow the route and enter the data again, I was offered three different routes that I did not like. I couldnt figure out how to get back to the route I wanted to take.

Two questions: Is it possible to alter a route or ask for a different choice?

Is it possible to save a route (not just an address).
