This mail program looks VERY interesting. Could be helpful with all Windows versions.
Just ran across this linked from a post in my genealogical mailing list. Looks like it could solve a lot of problems of losing email format when changing OS.

And have missed Outlook Express since my Windows XP computer died.

And MozBackup to migrate it

and it's been reliable ever since.
It collects mail from 5 accounts flawlessly.

Really easy transition from Outlook Express to Thunderbird. Virtually the same interface. I went to Thunderbird years ago and never looked back. Mozbackup is a great program too (although I should let some of my bookmarks go, they do accumulate beyond reason, over time).
