My netgear offered a firmware upgrade, but I read the upgrades and turned it down...

...because one of them involved a Russian WAN something or other. Was I too paranoid?

Don't think I'd be comfortable with that either though.

Can you go here: http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/ and do a manual update, selecting your own server?
