which has windows defender built in. Type defender at ask me anything and
you'll get a link to it. You have to uninstall any other AV to use it tho.

I believe windows defender runs live automatically in the background. Use Malwarebytes manually as a secondary scan and removal tool.

and had only one issue that was a virus/trojan horse worm thing that killed m last laptop, that was over 7 years ago. Have had no problems with this one and it's the one I replaced last one with. Avast also warns you when you try to open something that is a threat to your computer without opening the suspect page.

Good idea to mention your platform when asking such questions. If you're still using an old OS, it may be harder to find AV support.
