your computer or shut off at the power strip. Leave it off for half an hour or so and then try to reboot. If they are still there, shut down again. DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING.

They are making it harder and harder to get away from them.

Shut that browser down now.

Reboot the computer. Start up the browser. Check.

I've had this happen before -- maybe it's the same thing. Click On Nothing but Ctrl Alt Del and end that browser.

And yes, leave it unpowered as the human above says.

Obviously you should not give them any information. A google search of the phone number brings up info about a tech support scam.

Dont click on anything on those pages. Try to close out your browser. Dont call any of those numbers. Scan your computer. Hopefully someone will come along with good suggestions. I just wanted to raise the red flag to not call that number. Its a scam, and Ive seen it posted many times online before.

Good luck!

It depends on how you even got to this site (popup, ad?) but it surely is a scam. Definately do not call this number. I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of those Indian tech scams where they take control of your computer, eventually lock you out of your computer or delete files unless you pay them.

Then run a virus scan. Then restart browser. Should be fine.

Its a fishing attempt to sell you their "services" to "clean" your computer. Its a total scam.

.... he has shut you down. You bank accounts, checking accounts credit cards, and even the money in your wallet is all null and void and no longer suitable for any financial transactions.

You must make a hefty donation to trDump 2020 and you and all your relatives must vote for trDump for re-election. Then you may return to his good graces.

Please go out and buy a MAGA hat immediately - as a sign of your devotion, sincerity, and undying loyalty to trDump.

Micro soft does not send alerts out that way. You can type in that number in the search box on facebook and you will see what other people say about that scam. You should also go to micro soft's web page and read up on scams , it is informative. Yahoo seems to full of those scammers. Pop ups like that are a nuisance. Much of the time if you catch it soon enough ,you can simply close that window. If you don't catch it fast enough, simply shut down yer computer , unplug it if you are worried ,than reboot . Than run a virus scan just to be on the safe side.

Shut it down ,for a few minutes than boot it back up ,run a virus scan just to be on the safe side. Micro Softs web site has plenty of information about those scams.

1.hold ctl-alt-del or right mouse click on your taskbar at the bottom of the screen and once the box opens "task manager" from there.

2.a new window will open up called "task manager".

3.find your web browser(internet explorer, firefox, chrome, etc in the list of running things and right click on it.

4.a new menu(box) will open up and you'll pick "end task".

5.unplug your network(internet) cable from your computer or if it's wireless just unplug the power to your router for a bit

6.open the browser back up, close the tab and clear the browser data from the browser settings menu (it'll differ depending on your browser).

I've had things like this happen to me, too, even on my phone. You should be fine, just so long as you have done what various people here have advised you to do. The main thing is just not clicking on anything and severing their connection to you by shutting down. It sounds like you did that, so you'll be fine.

My neighbor's son is a computer whiz and he came over to check things out. It was gone. He looked for other things that might be malfunctioning, and all was clear.

I have this very, very, complicated and very, very , old computer that is all clogged up. It works reasonably well,,,,,but it is all clogged up with useless information of all kinds....and......................

you guessed it, it sits on top of my neck and is between my ears..

.I have tried cleaning it out many times but it seems to always come back to another computer, turns itself back on......and wants to digest and deposit some more useless information......in that main frame between the ears....

Got any ideas. It is a 1940s model ...?....Yes, it still works reasonably well, for an older model...but this one is so full of clutter of all kinds of ideas...some good, some not so good, some bad, and some very bad...some very clean,...and some very dirty..
any ideas to clean it up???

..................Hope this one made you smile... .That is hello to all that read this....thank you...Stuart

...................Also..........I hope you have a great day ...today............
