I have an AVG Identity pop up telling me
that a threat has been detected, it says it's found a known trojan/backdoor and recommends that I quarantine the threat. Last time I did this it was a virus program posing as AVG. The pop up cant be closed, any suggestions?

You can search on the name of the threat to learn more if you need reassurance or are concerned it might be a file that is not a threat.. But quarantining is the safest option. Do you have a setpoint on your computer that you could return to if needed?

should just quarantine then? I think what bothers me is that I cant close the pop up, does that sound kosher to you?

you just click out.

my computer, seemed to work. I appreciate your help.

just to make sure it is gone. I usually do that with trojans.
