IGoogle will be discontinued November 1st
I have IGoogle as my home page with gmail. I have been getting notices to backup my info but I'm afraid I do not know how to do that, or where I'd go with it, for that matter.
What else can I use as a home page that would include my gmail account, my sports and weather gadgets and headlines?
I've heard of Chrome. Can I set it up the same way?
I really appreciate any help and advice you have. I'm old school so be patient with me. Thanks again!
Carla

(37,457 posts)1. If you set your Gmail account to be your home page, you can do this:
See the matrix of 9 small black squares just to the right of "+Steve" ? If you left click that,
it takes you to Google News. Of course, you can get sports on Google News. Headlines are there. No, I don't work for Google lol
There are other portals out there with email etc but you specifically mentioned Gmail. Hope that helps.

igHome. It's made to be the alternative to iGoogle. It has all kinds of gadgets and has the GMAIL, Maps, etc. at the top of the page just like iGoogle.

That's what was used when google's feed reader and latitude services were discontinued.
