DNC Asks All Staffers For Resignation Letters

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has launched a major reshuffling of the party's organization that has been stung by recent crisis — and the DNC has requested the resignation letters of all current staffers be submitted by next month....

Earlier this month, Perez held a meeting to discuss the issue with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sanders, both of whom supported Ellison in the DNC chair race, along with Ellison, Sanders aides Jeff Weaver and Larry Cohen, and others.

Schumer, pointing to Ellison and Sanders, told Perez, "If he's happy, and if he's happy, then I'm happy," according to two sources.

That entity stunk to high heaven with their thumb on the scale during the primaries. I think I'm expressing that more nicely than it deserves.

Perez is doing exactly what should have been done under those circumstances.

Looks like Perez is now cleaning the whole place out to the sheetrock and floorboards. While some will reapply and be rehired, let's hope he gets rid of a lot of the dead wood in the party who didn't give a shit who got in as long as their cash flow stayed positive. Let's hope this really does signal a change from the DLC's losing strategy of spending money only in safe districts while letting the rest of the country go GOP and a return to the saner 50 state strategy.

They do that, I'll send them money.

I finally came around when my fear of Trump overcame my disdain for Hillary and the corruption of our DNC.

"My" candidate has not always won the DNC nomination. But I've always got on board without too much hesitation behind the winner. This time I had a really hard time with it - in part because of the above. But I'll bet I wasn't alone and that hurt her - some people never getting over it.

So I really appreciate Perez doing this. Integrity matters a lot to me as a quality I look for when determining who I am going to support.

He sounds perfectly comfortable working this way and building it up.

Even my husband is watching this and thinking about becoming a Democrat again.
