Man steals doughnut truck, leads cops on chase
Now those are some hot doughnuts.
Gwinnett authorities said a Lawrenceville man boosted a Krispy Kreme truck from a Dacula gas station last week, making off with untold quantities of glazed goodness and leading a sheriff's deputy on a high-speed chase across the county.
Police said a Krispy Kreme delivery man was dropping off his wares at an Exxon gas station in Dacula at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday. That's when James Freddy Major, 45-year-old alleged doughnut fiend, showed up and fled in the box truck.
" The driver) stated that the male had approached him before he entered the store to start his delivery" and that Major appeared under the influence, according to a Gwinnett County police report.

(60,336 posts)3. I took a doughnut nut from a cop once
She offered it to me actually.
I was attending a national championship football game, we drove all night and arrived at the stadium at 4:00am and parked the car, reclined the seats and took a nap.
The cop showed up at 6:00am to secure the lot for the event. She tapped on the window to see if were OK. She told us it was OK to stay and then offered us a fresh doughnut. It just struck me funny that I was offered a doughnut from a cop.
