Poll shows Clinton leading in Kansas; broad dissatisfaction with Legislature ( HILLARY GROUP POST)

I'd post this in General Discussion, but there is a stupid rule that if you mention Clinton it has to go in the Primary forum and this is not about the Primary at all.

Poll shows Clinton leading in Kansas; broad dissatisfaction with Legislature

http://www2.ljworld.com/weblogs/capitol-report/2016/jun/10/poll-shows-clinton-leading-in-kansas-bro/

Kansans are overwhelmingly dissatisfied with their state government and their choice of presidential candidates, according to a new poll released Friday.

But when given a choice between the two parties' presumptive nominees, a plurality (43-36 percent) said they prefer Democrat Hillary Clinton to Republican Donald Trump, while 21 percent are currently undecided.

If those trends hold through November, it would mark a historic shift in Kansas politics, where no Democratic presidential candidate has won Kansas since 1964, when Lyndon Johnson carried it over Barry Goldwater, 54-45 percent.

But if we have to make him sweat to win it, that's a good thing.

That's less time and money he has to spend in Ohio.

What's the matter with Kansas still applies. If she carries KS, it's only an anomaly.

I suspect that has as much (or perhaps more) to do with Governor Brownback's disastrous economic theories and the effect they've had on Kansas households and overall employment. The State government has run a humongous shortfall & cannot even sufficiently fund public schools. Crank ideology--giving huge tax breaks among other things--has broken the state's financial back. Voters more often than not vote their wallets. In Kansas, those wallets have been emptied, stomped on and thrown in the dumpster. Along with State government, endless promises and lame excuses.

People are clean out of patience. Can't really blame them.
