NASHVILLE, TN. – Capitalizing on what her campaign sees as a vulnerability for rival Bernie Sanders, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will propose further tax cuts or credits aimed at the middle class this weekend.

Speaking at a rally at a historically black college in Memphis, Clinton pitched her tax credit of up to $5,000 for middle-class families aimed at covering high out of pocket costs as an extension of President Obama’s signature health-care law.

“You never know when that’s going to happen you,” Clinton told the crowd. “Somebody gets sick, someone has an accident … you’ve got to be prepared, but too many families don’t have those kinds of resources.”

"So I think we should all provide that kind of help through a tax credit so that nobody goes without the health care they need," she added.

Since last weekend’s Democratic debate, Clinton and her aides frequently asserted that she was the only candidate in the Democratic primary who has promised not to raise taxes on the middle class......................
