Not quite at first, but as the debate went on. It was plain to see that he recognized her as being more accomplished, and way more savvy than himself.

is you lump Democrats in with the Republicans when you talk about 'corruption' and 'establishment.'
After she confronted him on it, he went more specifically at Congress and Republicans - he's still working on the Democratic Party thing!

It's not that these aren't two important issues...but there are plenty of others, and the President can't ignore or flub other problems just because he has a hobbyhorse or two.
