Hillary Clinton Room Post.
It has gotten more contentious here and criticism gets taken as an attack by some. Please remember that even though we are not in the majority among the posters who post regularly here we are in the majority in the party.
Don't let them get you down and don't let them drive you away from DU.
Hugs to you.

(92,219 posts)would mean that posters making fun of Hillary or dissing her should not be posting in the Hillary Clinton group. That same respect applies to all groups who support a particular person.

(92,219 posts)they really don't belong here. I have no doubt that the Green Party would accept them with open arms, but this is a Democratic forum supportive of Democrats

(25,111 posts)everything possible by law and against to cheat its way to the presidency, the Democratic Party needs to stick together. As a democracy, constructive challenges are most welcome. The Democratic Party = social issues as well as for the betterment of the United States of America in whole, inside its boundaries and outside in the "real" world. We strive for peace over war, economic equality, strong structures, civil rights, et al.
No matter what some say here on the DU, the is a contrast difference in the two parties.

(113,065 posts)I have no problem hearing my brain and my heart and reality all at the same time.
It will be crucial for ALL Dems on the 2016 ballot that we have the strongest ticket we have EVER put up - it is the only way we can even HOPE to counter the extremely rigged districts in purple states.
In my state, we need over 60% Dem voter turnout just to break even. In 2012 Dems had 52% of the votes, but, GOP ended up with 70% of the seats.
NOTHING will change if those of us on the left do not fully consider the entire ballot in every state.
I say this as someone who concentrates heavily on voter turnout in my purple state and is at the polls actively working for the entire Dem ballot from day one of early voting thru election day.
I think the majority of pro-Sanders posters here at DU do not want a weakened HRC candidacy - we want one that does what every general election presidential candidate does and adopts the strongest, most popular positions and wording of a popular challenger
..in this case, that would be the common sense rhetoric of Bernie Sanders.
I wish the best for ALL of us as Democrats with the strong moral base to do everything we can to stop the express train that is propelling the fascist agenda of the Republican Party.
Definitely do NOT let any of the bitterness that develops drive anyone away - those fueling the bitterness should be avoided or alerted, because this is DEMOCRATIC Underground.

(12,409 posts)Sanders is a good man, no argument here...but, I rode that bus before with Howard Dean....good men loose to the insiders of the Party. Hillary knows how to win..that's the way it rolls.

(12,409 posts)But....he will then bring along his supporters to Hillary since she will be Democratic Candidate. He said today on ABC This Week that he will support the Candidate if he does not win.

(12,409 posts)These battles are rough. The GOP would love to run against Sanders...polar opposite on all positions... So, that adds to the Sanders rally picture at the moment.

Predictable:
GOP - warmongering, fearmongering, religious prosecution, pro-life, Obamacare, voter suppression, inequality, reduction civil rights, among other negative issues . .
DEMOCRATIC PARTY - the total opposite.

They make stuff up about Hillary.
They make up outlandish statements about Bernie.
I don't think too many Hillary supporters dislike Bernie, it's just that they want to beat the Repubs.

(71,265 posts)But yes it looks like some of the Sanders crowd can't handle criticism.
