(42,862 posts)Double standards all around. Skinner really does need to do something. (But what? I guess that's the question.)
I've figured out that this site had "moderators" at one time and that was traded for community peer-reviewed moderation. All well and good, I suppose... except the 6:1 ratio of Bernie to Hillary supporters makes it very tempting (and easy) to abuse the system that was originally designed for community standards of behavior, not political differences of opinion.
Perhaps a group of "jury moderators" would be a solution. Obviously, with a massive site like this one appears to be, it's impractical to moderate every single post for every single group and forum and sub-forum. But, it may be easier to have a group of individuals who watch the jury system to help prevent (and discourage) people from blatant abuse.

(50,561 posts)They're coming into the Hillary Group and hiding anything even slightly negative about their Man Crush, so there's precedent.

Note to Jury: you guys ever see that movie...."12 Angry Men"? whereupon one juror convinces the rest to conquer their preconceived notions in order to discover the truth. Its a play also.

(20,783 posts)due to the phrase " the disgusting crevices of the Democratic Party that need to be cleansed."
there is a tension between the two groups DU was created for (Democratic party members and other progressives), but that does not sound like it came from a Democrat.

(23,946 posts)away by the GOP for use in the general....Bernie supporters may be the enemies best soldiers when Clinton takes on Trump.
Attacks without substance based on speculative nonsense on Democratic leaders used to be a con thing.

(6,280 posts)... the same kind nasty shit about Bernie Sanders and his supporters, but I wouldn't do it from here.
Beaverhausen
(24,470 posts)Bernie himself is always gracious. His supporters - not so much. But I try to just ignore them until they accuse me of not being liberal or a democrat simply because I don't support a certain candidate.

(6,280 posts)... That's why I said I "could" say those things. My point was that if I did decide to do it, I would not do so from a safe perch knowing that all I would get is praise and enthusiastic agreement. Singing to the choir is never genuine reward.
