FMMundo has reported that the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) published a telephone conversation between two representatives of a far-right organization in Miami that was discussing plans for the ‘physical elimination’ of Leopoldo López. The fascist anti-Castro Cubans along with the CIA wanted to murder Lopez and then blame the death on Maduro’s government to create a political crisis and lead the country to civil war (http://www.fmmundo.com/web/el-telegrafo-opositor-venezolano-conocia-de-un-complot-en-su-contra/).

Reports note that “external conspirators” sent several terrorist groups to Venezuela and that they also had accomplices in Lopez’s inner circle. Add to this that agents of the (CIA) in Caracas were aware of the intentions of the ‘external’ terrorists but took no steps to ensure Lopez’s safety.

Moscow based reporter, Nil Nikandrov pointed out that the charismatic leader of the opposition “was sentenced to murder in cold blood by U.S. interests.” “The conspirators evidently hoped that his murder who recreate Lopez in death as a ‘martyr’ and trigger the ongoing process of destabilization in the country with the eventual overthrow of the Maduro government. The murder, he noted, would have also helped solidify and strengthen of the position of opposition leader Henrique Capriles, the ‘son of a bitch’ whom the US imperialists and Venezuelan oligarchs really prefer and support.

The President of the Venezuelan National Assembly Diosdado Cabello, personally contacted the family of Lopez and warned him directly of the threat hanging over his head by the Miami mafia in tandem with the CIA. This is why he turned himself in.

7. I'm sure they had more in mind than just the safety of Lopez, they exposed a plot that could have

destroyed their country. That they may have saved a life I'm sure they are not overly fond of in the process, should cause this Lopez to have second thoughts about being a puppet, which appears to be all he is, for his handlers.

These people are insane and how we came to have people working for THIS government capable of such evil, is beyond me, and as pointed out here in this thread, it is apparently nothing new. We need to clean up the mess in this country. It should have been done after the Northwoods criminals were finally exposed.

No doubt a majority of US Americans were stunned when they first heard the facts as they appeared after James Bamford FINALLY was able to secure the information which had been kept from the public in secret documents for all these long, long years until declassified some years ago, and shared by Bamford in his book. Incredible, but unfortunately, all too true.

In the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba. Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities. The plans were developed as ways to trick the American public and the international community into supporting a war to oust Cuba's then new leader, communist Fidel Castro.

America's top military brass even contemplated causing U.S. military casualties, writing: "We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba," and, "casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation."

Details of the plans are described in Body of Secrets (Doubleday), a new book by investigative reporter James Bamford about the history of America's largest spy agency, the National Security Agency. However, the plans were not connected to the agency, he notes. The plans had the written approval of all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and were presented to President Kennedy's defense secretary, Robert McNamara, in March 1962. But they apparently were rejected by the civilian leadership and have gone undisclosed for nearly 40 years.

"These were Joint Chiefs of Staff documents. The reason these were held secret for so long is the Joint Chiefs never wanted to give these up because they were so embarrassing," Bamford told ABCNEWS.com. "The whole point of a democracy is to have leaders responding to the public will, and here this is the complete reverse, the military trying to trick the American people into a war that they want but that nobody else wants."
