Uribe admits anti-Chavez plot planned in Colombia (For those who never knew)

Uribe admits anti-Chavez plot planned in Colombia
AFP , SANTA MARTA, COLOMBIA

Venezuelan former soldiers plotted against President Hugo Chavez's government at a Colombian military building, Colombian President Alvaro Uribe said.

Uribe made the stunning disclosure on Saturday at the Caribbean resort town of Santa Marta where he is meeting with Chavez, and after analyzing documents furnished by Chavez.

"The Venezuelan soldiers who are in Bogota went to a building to meet with members of the Colombian military. President Chavez gave us these documents ... we analyzed them and this morning I said to President Chavez: `I must tell you the truth: this is a building of Colombia's public forces,'" he said.

Uribe said that intelligence efforts against the Venezuelan government are conducted in the building, and took full responsibility for the affair.

The two presidents met for six hours amid a climate of unusual goodwill on Saturday to discuss the purported Bogota-based conspiracy against the Venezuelan president, which Chavez first disclosed to his Colombian counterpart during a meeting in Venezuela on Nov. 24.

Seven Venezuelans involved in a 48-hour coup against Chavez in April 2002 have been linked to the new plot. Businessman Pedro Carmona, leader of the failed military-civilian coup, enjoys political asylum in Colombia, where he is working as a university professor.

Uribe refused asylum to six Venezuelan soldiers involved in the coup but gave them permission to live in Colombia while they look for safe haven in another country.

He said on Saturday that he takes responsibility for the events.

What is this in aid of, I have to wonder?

Sounds like Uribe "took full responsibility" and was very forthcoming with the LATE Hugo Chavez.

File under B. F. D. I guess...

5. Don't you realize that you upset them when you reference historical fact?

They want to make up stories about the poor suffering billionaires of Latin America, and factual historical references *upset* them! They're very sensitive, you know.

6. They can't grasp I post them for people who didn't hear about these things, yet.

For sure, they don't want anyone discussing the FACT over 100 Colombian paramilitaries were found inside Venezuela who were organized by right-wing Venezuelans who brought them there to provide the violence needed to overcome guards, etc. and murder Hugo Chavez at Miraflores.

The details of the matter were verified by Alvaro Uribe, and the two had a very long, drawn-out discussion, in which Uribe apologized to Chavez over this, in a session lasting SIX HOURS, which means it was a very heavy event.

They don't want any more people knowing this kind of criminality was in play so long ago, this complex, and this deadly, involving so many people.

The guy at whose ranch they were found was Robert Alonso who fled, and lives in Miami currently, with his fellow Cuban "exiles" in the heart of Batistaville.

They are pure scum, every one of them, and they are always scheming, plotting their next crimes. They probably never sleep unless they pass out from excess.

It's their view they can mock me and that will move me to stop posting the facts, leaving more space for their lies. It's not going to work.

If there's something I'm missing about what has happened, I certainly hope someone will take the time to post it here, as we all know our corporate media will NEVER consider sharing it with the human race.

8. They aren't the kind of people I'd expect (or want) to find at a Bob Marley tribute festival.

or maybe trying to run them down on the road.

Their "investment" in life will be returned many times to them.

Thanks, so much, for adding this song when you did. Excellent.

It's so good knowing we can share what we're finding, and thinking, here, even though we have to tune out the static to get it done.

Thank you, delrem. You can't imagine how great it is seeing your comments.

One can see immediately how to read you, as values, principles, character go together, they shine so brilliantly against a hostile, racist, classist, backdrop of low, destructive, anti-social interests contending for attention.
