Colombia has a much higher number of voters than Venezuela, and doesn't enjoy the supposed "best electoral system" on the planet, which happens to be electronic and automized, and yet in Colombia the results are announced only a couple of hours (and even at that they give periodic bulletins showing the tendency as more votes are counted) after the polls close, while in Venezuela the results are often announced by the CNE at late hours in the night, some times even close to midnight. Really makes you wonder...
