La violencia sindical ha cobrado la vida de 25 dirigentes vinculados a la industria de la construcción en lo que va de 2012. En junio se registró la muerte de 4 sindicalistas en ataques con armas de fuego por pistoleros que se dieron a la fuga.

25 killed in 2012, in June 4 unionists were killed by armed gunmen who fled.

Impunidad
En su informe de 2010, la Comisión de Expertos de la Organización Internacional del Trabajo llama la atención al Gobierno venezolano a fin de que tome medidas para poner coto a la violencia sindical y, sobre todo, para que cese la impunidad.

Provea y la Vicaría de Derechos Humanos alertan sobre la alta impunidad y la casi total ausencia de investigaciones de las denuncias en los órganos de justicia del Estado. Más de 90% de los casos de asesinatos no han llegado a los tribunales y mucho menos han obtenido sentencia firme.
