Ex Colombian Congressman Yidis Medina is to sue the government for over $4.5 million, claiming to be the victim of wiretapping, local media sources reported.
Colombian newspaper El Espectador reported that she is to sue the government for up to $4.5 million dollars, claiming she is the victim of a wiretapping scandal involving ex president Alvaro Uribe.
She was also reported saying "The claim could reach up to [$4.5 million]. I hope that the judges who are reviewing the case come to a good decision,"
Medina was imprissoned in the Buen Pastor prison before she was transferred to serve 43 months under house arrest after her involvment in the Yidispolitica scandal, where she came clean about accepting a bribe from the then president Alvaro Uribe concerning a change in Colombia's constitution.
