because foreign investors are going to want to flee a country that has totally lost its mind.
If there is some sort of a deal, it'll go like gangbusters for a while, then institutions will suck their profits out of it and we'll be back to piddling along until the next manufactured crisis.

As the shutdown is not official yet. That will be overnight Monday into Tuesday. Expect much more volatility as the debt limit deadline approaches.
