Frank O'Leary, striking Labatt worker: 'We are standing strong for what is right and just'

"We are standing up to this corporation, not only for ourselves and our families, but for all workers, now and in the future." - Frank O'Leary, striking NAPE/NUPGE member at Labatt.

St. John's (30 July 2013) – Workers at the Labatt plant in St. John's have been on strike for more than three and a half months. These members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE) have mounted a fight against concessionary bargaining by the local management and its multi-national parent company Anhesuer-Busch InBev.

Here is a personal letter from one of the strikers about their struggle, and how much it has meant to hear from thousands of supporters across Canada and around the world.

You can add your voice to this campaign by sending a message via LabourStart Canada to Labatt/AB InBev executives today to help get these workers back to the table.
