Taxes don't make policy. Taxes only warp how people behave to avoid them.

You want to cut emissions, you make policies with consequences for failure.

You want to create corruption...you make complicated, pointlessly unfair taxes.

What policies do you recommend which have "consequences for failure" with regard to creating emissions?

Since when have taxes not been part of policy?

Must a carbon tax be complicated and pointlessly unfair?

You ask more questions than you answer.

What planet are you from?

Do they not have politics and crony capitalism and corruption there? No 1% rigging everything in their benefit, grinding the less wealthy into dire poverty?

Please engage brain before posting. Take a look out the Reality window.

Politics and crony capitalism and corruption is everywhere. That doesn't mean it's going to be part of a carbon tax any more than it's part of income tax.

Do you feel the same way about raising income tax? That it's all a sham to grind the less wealthy into dire poverty?

And lastly - you have no answers, only whining. That doesn't help.
