A mega-watt wind-power-plant... made entirely of wood and glue.

Some photos in a german article:

the company:

The company TimberTower has just built a prototype: A giant turbine to harvest wind-power. And it's made entirely of wood. The glue is a standard two-component adhesive that can be bought at a hardware-store. The construction is shielded by commercially available foil that's also used in roof-insulation.

- wood is cheaper than steel
- wood is more eco-friendly than steel
- wood is easier to transport
- wood has a longer lifetime than steel-constructions
