Al Jazeera Anchorwoman Calls Arab Terrorist Who Stabbed Israeli ‘My Hero’ on Facebook

A Qatar-based Al Jazeera anchorwoman recently posted a video on Facebook of a stabbing attack in Israel, lauding the Palestinian assailant, Israeli news website nrg reported on Sunday.

“Bless you, my hero,” wrote Khadija Benguenna alongside uploaded security-camera footage of a young Arab stabbing an Israeli Border Policeman in Nahariya on Friday, referred to by Benguenna as “northern Palestine.”

By Saturday night, Benguenna, who is of French-Algerian origin, had deleted her comment but not the video, which garnered close to 70,000 “likes.”

The footage shows a 16-year-old Arab from a village in the Galilee stabbing a 37-year-old Border Police officer in the upper back before the two struggle with one another. The officer eventually breaks free and runs off camera as the attacker pursues him, while still holding a knife.

The officer was lightly-to-moderately wounded in the attack. The terrorist was arrested shortly thereafter and is being interrogated.

7. Is there a better source for this?

The OP is from Algemeiner, which got the story from NRG News. I checked with Google and found the same story in the World Tribune (http://www.worldtribune.com/al-jazeera-anchorwoman-calls-attacker-who-stabbed-israeli-my-hero-on-facebook/). There were a few articles about her in French on other matters, but nothing that stood out.

As I'm not sure the story is legit, I can't comment on it, unfortunately.

Which is one of the three major newspapers in Israel. (NRG is Maariv Online). They have a screenshot of the Facebook page in question on the Maariv website (which is linked to in the article posted here). Very interesting process you have for determining which stories are legit and which ones aren't.

10. I don't trust Maariv, they're too "fluffy".

I didn't find any previous transgressions either - usually there's a pattern, and I didn't find any. If she did what the OP is accusing her of it will be reported in other more reliable sources anyway. Khadija Benguenna isn't totally unknown, and comments like that could get her fired.

I'm just picky when it comes to sources, sorry.

12. You didn't trust the UNRWA Facebook incitement posts despite all the screenshots....

And despite the fact UNRWA was busted and admitted there was a problem.

You finally accepted reality even though the mainstream press never reported on it.

Why was that?

13. Not only was it reported later in MSM, I did see some of the posts myself.

I'm not dumb enough to deny what's obviously true. In this case, I'm just not convinced yet. A supposed picdump doesn't really convince me in the age of Photoshop...

But if you think so, please provide a link or two.

It was reported in the Jewish Press - but not the mainstream one.

I searched on Google, and I couldn't find any reports about the sackings in MSM.

There are OP's about it in this forum, but they're from the Jerusalem Post:

I don't really know what this means...

Portraying terrorist murderers of Jews as victims. Jews defending themselves as terrorists.

The MSM has a Jew problem.

Point is, try being objective - cross reference sources, compare, look at the evidence from both sides. Don't assume that just because one side doesn't report it, it cannot be true.

its worse than Fox, by 1000 miles. Al Jazeera advances an anti-American, anti-Israel, pro-jihad and jihad-sympathizing/apologizing agenda. Worse, in Arabic they're unabashed; in English, they pander to some on the far-left, and then justify everything with "colonial imperialism."
