The EU and UN are so classy.
When will they start funding the most extreme, bigoted Isaeli rightwing media outlets?

Same WRT the UN. Do we really need to discuss the UN's record WRT whitewashing and covering for terror, slavery, genocide, misogyny, etc.? So why not fund the W.Bank's version of Maan?

If that's not enough, let me know. My favorite from Maan are all the nutty stories about Zionist settler pigs and boars they let loose on poor Palestinians.
=========================
It appears you have a problem with PMW exposing the extremely RW Ma'an for what it truly is. Why don't you want Ma'an exposed? Do you support their extreme RW agenda?
You then compare its funding to that of PMW, which isn't a media outlet. Something closer to Ma'an would be Arutz Sheva, but the EU and UNESCO do not fund Arutz Sheva or any other extreme RW Israeli newspaper. And Arutz Sheva, while nutty, isn't nutty enough to produce wild pig stories and such...
=========================
Lastly, how do you know PMW is bigoted or racist? You throw out an article or 2 but that has nothing to do with Marcus' allegedly bigoted views and articles on Palestinian media. Is it that you believe all settlers are de facto bigots?

Maan uses Reuters etc, not sure what else you're referring to..if there is an OP ed you would like to offer
please do. The wiki posts are damaging to Maan in what capacity?
The link you left to the comments from Fatah about bin Laden are affiliated with Maan, directly? How so?
Who wrote the pig comment, a journalist working for Maan?
You clearly have no problem with PMW..not their funding, nor the association of Marcus, and you're the only one
in this group who uses their websites and considers them legitimate, at least out loud.
PMW funding from Cherney, my earlier post you ignored. What's wrong, you don't even mention his name. Cherney is not a right wing supporter, eh? He's quite a character. PMW is not a media outlet and this is significant to you, lol. That the Israeli government
outsources is somehow kosher to you..hmm.
Alleged illegal payments to Avigdor Lieberman
Cherney is a close friend of Avigdor Lieberman who allegedly received millions of shekels from various entrepreneurs, including Mr Cherney, while serving as member of Knesset; under Israeli law, MKs are not allowed to receive any payment beyond their salary. One claim is that Cherney paid a company called Path to the East large amounts of money between the years 1999 and 2006, and that these sums were then allegedly passed on to Lieberman as a bribe. Other allegations concern a company called M.L.1, founded by Lieberman's daughter Michal when she was 21.[17] These allegations concern money transferred to M.L.1 from unknown sources outside Israel; the money was later allegedly used for paying salaries to Avigdor and Michal Lieberman.[18]
In April 2007, Israeli police questioned Avigdor Lieberman, Israels Deputy Prime Minister, on suspicions of illegally financing his 2001 electoral campaign. According to the police, in May 2001, three months after Lieberman was appointed Minister of Infrastructure in Ariel Sharon's Cabinet, approximately $500,000 was transferred to the bank accounts of Lieberman associates through Cyprus. This money could be traced back to Cherney. Cherney's attorney, Yaakov Weinroth, said the money was transferred by his client for a totally transparent, legal wine deal.[19]
In May 2011, Haaretz reported that the Israeli Attorney General had issued a draft indictment against Avigdor Lieberman for fraud and money laundering, including allegations against Cherny.[20] A second Haaretz article detailing the draft indictment reported that a company owned by Cherney had paid $500,000 to a company owned by Avigdor Lieberman in May 2001.[21] It added that: "Prosecutors say Lieberman then used his government posts to try to restore Chernoy's Israeli passport, which he had been stripped of in 1999, and to assist him in other personal matters."[22]

I think it's obvious what Marcus is about, what he is striving for and what his supporters, such as yourself are striving for too.
Among other affiliations, he was vice president of the Central Fund of Israel. If you're going to pretend you do not know
what and who that groups supports, well, you're just blowing hot air. But just in case, for anyone interested:
Officials: Right-Wing Groups Help IDF Monitor Media
snip* The government, meanwhile, is getting most of its information on anti-Israel incitement from two private organizations, the sources said: the Middle East Media Research Institute, which is based in Washington, D.C., and the Israel-based Palestinian Media Watch.
Palestinian Media Watch provides mostly professional material on Palestinian incitement in the media and textbooks, but is associated with the right wing. It is directed by Itamar Marcus, who until recently served as the vice president of the Central Fund of Israel, a New York-based right-wing nonprofit association that donates to Israeli right-wing groups like Im Tirtzu and helps fund various activities in West Bank settlements.

more about Mr Marcus
His work on textbooks led Benyamin Netanyahu to appoint Marcus to represent his country in the negotiations with the Palestinians on incitement in the Trilateral Anti-Incitement Committee (Israeli-Palestinian-American).[1]
As Director of Research for the Center for Monitoring the Impact of Peace (CMP) from 1998 to 2000, Marcus wrote reports on Palestinian Authority (PA), Syrian and Jordanian schoolbooks.[2] In February 2007 together with Sen. Hillary Clinton he released a report on the newest PA schoolbooks at a press conference in Washington.
Marcus testified before the Education Subcommittee of the US Senate Committee on Allocations, documenting the Palestinian Authority's indoctrination of children to seek death as Shahids Martyrs for public relations purposes. He has also presented before members of Congress, and to members of Parliament in numerous countries including, the European Union, Britain, France, Canada, and Australia, and has lectured in universities and conferences world wide.
Marcus is a featured source for the documentary Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West.

Palestinian Media Watch:
snip* At a press conference last week, Israels Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon appeared alongside Itamar Marcus, a right-wing settler and director of an Israeli NGO called Palestinian Media Watch, to receive a report produced by PMW. Later in the week, Marcus appeared on Capitol Hill to present his report to Congress. In the U.S., PMW has been running ads on major television networks of late echoing the accusations of incitement against President Abbas and Prime Minister Fayyad.
What Ayalon and Marcus failed to mention is that PMW is closely connected to the New York-based Central Fund of Israel, which gives money to some of the most extreme elements in Israels settler movement, including a yeshiva in a West Bank settlement that is home to Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira, who published a book last year justifying the killing of gentile babies on the grounds they might grow up to pose a threat to the state.

"This article has been removed.
It was written by one of the [news] agency's readers, Sawsan Najib Abd
Al-Halim, and not by one of Ma'an's journalists, writers or editors.
[The article has been removed] because it contains incorrect information and
hateful content that are unjustified and which do not in any way represent
the opinion of Ma'an or its editorial policies. It was published during the
war against Gaza (i.e., in response to Hamas rockets, Israel's Operation
Pillar of Defense targeted the terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip), and
[Ma'an's] staff was unable to examine it thoroughly because of the workload
caused by the war. [The article] was published in the articles' section
intended for [submissions by] readers.
However, Ma'an will re-examine the policy of publishing readers' articles to
avoid the occurrence of similar mistakes."
