Gaza mourns its dead as Israel cranks up its military build-up
A family-of-eight killed in an Israeli airstrike have been buried as the crisis in the Middle East deepens.
Their covered bodies were carried through the streets of Khan Younis in southern Gaza as mourners chanted God is great.
Yasser Al Haj, who lost his parents and siblings in the strike, wailed: Where is my family? I want to see my family.
The funeral came as the border crossing between Gaza and Egypt was opened to allow injured Palestinians to be treated.
They included Saleh Al Naqeeb. His brother Mohammed said: There was rocket fire near our house, and we were inside. At first, they sent a warning. Between the warning and the actual airstrike, there was a minute. So we didnt have enough time to leave the house and we didnt have time to take our belongings. But thank God for everything. His condition will improve, God willing.
Meanwhile Israeli tanks and artillery took up positions on the Gaza border.
Its part of Israels continuing offensive, now into its third day.
The border build-up came after Palestinian militants fired rockets at Tel Aviv.
