Reagan's October Surprise-- a real conspiracy

Former Iranian president Bani-Sadr reveals it was true that the Reagan team made a deal with the Ayatollahs.

And predictably, the MSM ignores it.

Reagan was a traitor.

There isn't such a thing. Zappaman already explained to us, using a New York Times article, that governments don't lie and there is no such a thing as conspiracies being conducted by powerful individuals (which means, of course, that Zappaman and New York Times are right and most information on history books that basically shows history as an almost permanent sequence of conspirations are all wrong and needed bo be reviewed). If Reagan was involved in a conspiracy, some US agency would publish a press release informing the public about it. Being skeptical of official accounts or questioning governments and mainstream media is for lunatics who like to feel superior. Reasonable and normal people are supposed to simply believe what their governments tell them.

I'd like to see a link to any post by Zappaman, or anyone else on DU, that makes that claim (with exact quote).
