It's Christmas. Time for Jesus to come out.

The Rev's message, while presented in a controversial manner, is to ask if it would change anything for the faithful if Jesus had been gay.

He points out that there is no indication about Jesus's sexuality: 'The fact is we don't know what his sexual orientation was.'

that he and Mary of Magdala were more than "just good friends."

What seems indisputable is that Jesus himself loved and accepted gay people. The first time I read the account of his healing the Centurion's "servant" in the original Greek, I was surprised and delighted. And he had no trouble with being called "Son of David"-- the same David who loved, and was loved by, Jonathan "passing the love of women."
