Victim of Atlanta Video Attack: "I'm the Brave One"

http://www.advocate.com/Crime/Feds_Investigate_Atlanta_Video_Attack_as_Hate_Crime/

UPDATE: Brandon White, the victim of the Atlanta Video Attack, told spectators at a press conference this afternoon that while he felt violated when the footage of his beating was made public, he feels it's important to be strong and come forward. "By them going ahead and wanting to release [the attack] and putting it on the internet," he told the crowd, "I feel that they wanted the attention themselves…they wanted to make themselves look like they were brave, they were strong — but in my opinion, I'm the brave one." Watch the video below.

Meanwhile, on Monday, federal authorities joined the Atlanta Police Department’s investigation into the attack of White, who was ambushed by gang members as he left an Atlanta corner grocery store. The attack, which was posted on Worldstar Hip Hop, included the assailants shouting "no faggots in Jack City" during the brutal assault.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitutionreports that U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates issued a statement saying the attack is being investigated to see if any federal laws were violated, including the hate crime statute.

"U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates issued a statement saying the attack is being investigated to see if any federal laws were violated, including the hate crime statute." I hope they find that to be the case.
