immediately loses all her human rights, which are transferred to the newly fertilized egg.

These people are stuck in the Middle Ages, when people thought that women who miscarried were practicing witchcraft or otherwise doing mischief. If the miscarried fetus was obviously deformed, that was proof of her perfidy. It was enough for Henry VIII to trump up infidelity charges against Anne Boleyn and chop her head off.

Look to El Salvador for the laws they'd love to have, the ones that imprison women who have had miscarriages or stillbirths.
