waiting to hear instructions from the Outpatient Surgery Center at the hospital.
This is my final option. I am hopeful that this constant pain can be at long last stopped. It is the sequilae of my horrible shingles attack over a year ago, that resulted in post-herpetic neuragia.
Reminder to you: get a shingles vaccine shot! Don't go through what I have gone through. You don't want shingles!

(92,187 posts)That was years ago, and the only option was anti-vitals, which are only effective if started early enough. Ice packs seemed to help him, but it wasn't good.
It sounds like there is a good chance that nerve blockage may do the trick. I hope so.
I guess it is too late for you to get the shingles vaccine, since this is post-herpetic neuralgia.

I'm better now and am eating nearly normal.
