Wow, Rotten Tomatoes is an absolute joke!

I tried to watch the movie "Firecrackers." It's total garbage. In fact, I just posted a review of it on IMDb (Check it out if you're interested). Just for the heck of it, I checked RT and the critics gave it a 96%! They are so full of shit it isn't funny! The audience ratings are a much better guide.

Your issue would seem to be with the reviewers, not with RT. RT isn't writing the reviews that go into the score.

The place where I get honest, believable reviews is the Roger Ebert website. I don't always agree with the scores they give movies, but they aren't ever gratuitous flame-outs either.

They gave it 2.5 stars, (out of 4) which means it's watchable but not great. Also note that the review is written by a woman so that might have something to do with it. (IMO - It doesn't sound like a movie that a guy would get excited about.)
