Somm: Into the Bottle

Expert winemakers and sommeliers delve into the mysteries surrounding wine, from its delicious and colorful history to how it's made and marketed.

This is a slightly romanticized documentary, but the quality of filming, graphics, information, and sometime irrelevant interviews make this well worth watching. There is one short section that shows some of the destruction of the recent Napa earthquake and how it affected that vintage. In the same vein, they discuss how the world wars affected wines and winemaking in Europe.

I highly recommend this.

Geez, that should be irreverent interview. Damned auto correct.

Yeah, I savored my cheap wine, as I watched them uncork those thousand dollar bottles! dmosh42 May 2016 #1
