(14,274 posts)Most of the Japanese offerings on Netflix feature a style of overacting that does not resonate with me. "Sweet Bean" was acted very honestly and the performances were intimate and natural. If more Japanese dramas were done in this style, I would be watching a lot more of them.
And the Chinese movies are even more stylized as well. There are so few that seem genuine.
