"The Crown" on netflix is a new series chronicling the life of Queen Elizabeth II

It starts just before King George VI's death and then her ascension to the throne. The 1st season, 10 episodes only covers the first 4-5 years of her reign. A little slow in some parts, but engrossing and amazing to see what this young woman, at 25 years of age had to face. It also shows how little real power she had and how the politicians (Winston Churchill at the time) really dictated almost every facet of her and her family's life.

Of course it's a dramatize work, no one knows what was really said, but an intriguing series. Just the visuals, the castles, estates, interiors and country sides etc were worth the watch.
