It ain't easy...but it is possible.

Yes, it ain't easy to overcome these addictions. Wish it were..it ain't.. We keep coming back cause we got to. The addictive stuff is very powerful and that is what it is. Just one...nope..one is never enough. zero is about correct. Today is the only day I need to get thru..

I was once asked to speak at a rehab center. I was newly sober and clean ...say 6 or 8 months..and a speaker was needed. I was proud with my excellent speech that I prepared. Some listened, (maybe 20 in the room) some didn't. The leader, the fellow who asked me, then ...talked about one thing......getting thru today..that is it. The people there heard him..cause I watched them..and he is/was correct. Get thru today..yea, it ain't easy, but it is possible.....yep...

really reduce so much needless anxiety.
After 25 plus years of embracing the Steps, I STILL have to pull myself back and focus on NOW.
Practice helps, but I don't think I will ever be "perfect" at it.....

It's the simple yet brilliant philosophy that really works.
