Tabbouli, using a recipe by Ina Garten. I'm excited about using the cherry tomatoes, celery, parsley, and mint from the garden.
Cold hibiscus tea.
Dessert: A couple strawberry mochis.

(22,767 posts)Just finished off most of a pot of homemade tomato sauce and have a few meatballs left. Will have with green salad with balsamic vinaigrette. After the meatballs are gone, I have hard salami, large deli sliced pepperoni and black forest ham (as always, wish I had access to hot capicola instead) for regular Italian subs.
For later, the usual ice cream sandwiches are in the freezer for husband and I have chocolate almond ice cream for cones.

(22,767 posts)So, I started making tabbouleh with couscous. That or quinoa have been great substitutes. I really like how light the couscous is.
the couscous is way better. I wanted to make it with the larger Israeli cut, but didn't have any. I vastly prefer couscous or quinoa to bulgur.

I think I saw the episode where Ina made that a few weeks ago. I saved the recipe, but haven't made it yet.
