Palak Paneer (cheese cubes mixed with spicy spinach--North Indian dish).

Naan bread.

Dessert: pears and plum yogurt with pistachios and coconut cubes.

1. Paella.

Well, Midwestern paella. Polish sausage. rice with cumin and paprika, celery, carrots, broccoli, baby shrimp, and chicken.

Got no saffron. Too expensive.

2. Gazpacho

I didn't make dessert, but there's some strawberries in the fridge. Maybe I'll run to the store and get some ice cream to go with them.


Dad had ground beef w/ mushrooms and onions in gravy over mashed potatoes, cauliflower and carrots.

10. NJCher, I LOVE Indian food and make quite a lot of it.

But tonight because of a time crunch it was just brats on the grill and leftover potato salad.

11. Mediterranean Veggie sandwich from Domino's,

no American or feta cheese, xtra provolone.

Dessert: Ben + Jerry's Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz. (Just returned to it; hope I don't regret it!)

12. Chuck-eye steaks

seared MR in the cast iron with butter, garlic and capers added at the flip. Husband had baked potato with butter and sour cream, the last of the asparagus. I had fresh sweet corn cut from the cob.

Thank goodness today was grocery/errand run. I was out of ice cream, cereal and grapes for the last several days, so no snacks.

Was also finally able to get a 2-ltr bottle of Fresca. Hadn't had it in a long time and every time I tried to order it, they were out on pick-up day, not sure why Was sort of a little worried because the label now says it's "Sparkling Water", which I really, really do not like, but thankfully, it's the same old Fresca. The only sugar-free soda I like, and so refreshing.

13. Birthday supper

our favorite mac n cheese recipe, with a couple small lobster tails cut up and added. Tossed salad with a lemon-mustard-dill vinaigrette, featuring a tomato freshly picked from the back yard. Tiramisu from the Bosnian bakery for dessert. Prosecco for the birthday girl, who became a senior citizen today.
