Going to friend's for dinner: she's making chicken with honey-garlic sauce.
I'm taking yellow pear and red cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, and onion as a salad.
Naan bread with tomato-parmesan pesto.
Fresh fruit for dessert--pear cubes tossed with mint and toasted walnuts. A dessert cheese, which she is providing. I'm doing the pears.

(43,161 posts)I had 6 this week, first since February. And they were awful.
The truth of my 2021 watermelon and soy milk purge would confound doctors for decades.
Now it's back to metabolic diet, thank you Dr. Sten Ekberg

Baked that in foil- white wine, lemon and dill butter.
Fried the cheeks in panko crumbs - these are so dang good this way!!!
Also had home made fries and a small zucchini from the garden went in the foil packet.

(22,037 posts)Boneless breast meat marinated in olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, garlic, oregano and minced onion. We left it in the fridge for a couple of hours. I grilled it so it was slightly burnt on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Salad from the garden with red leaf lettuce, orange small tomatoes, red onion and raisins with a very light oil & vinegar dressing.
Homemade cheese risotto by the Landlady(!) and a bottle of Chardonnay.
Brandy and sailing videos for dessert.

(16,959 posts)My daughter brought me some devilled eggs. Along with those, I used half a fresh tomato, cut some onion and celery on it, then added a can of tuna, drained, and topped with creamy Italian dressing. Had a spicy avocado and some radish bites. I shredded a potato and browned it in olive oil.
Fresh peach for dessert.

(68,576 posts)She just moved. I couldn't help much as I can't lift anything or run around-still have pneumonia from Covid... getting better. Broccoli spaghetti was a dish I invented when my stove broke when the kids were young in Georgia...lots of garlic was cooked on top of the stove and is always served with homemade cheesy bread sticks and salad...for some reason, the children love it and request it all the time. Go figure.
