Have had a great time with parental units and we have been grazing a log. Tonight, we can finish off the very last of the leftovers and anything else I can find, clean the fridge and get ready for all the beautiful fresh food I will get tomorrow.

I am incredibly fortunate to feel full very quickly, so, as much as I love it, I can eat a little and let it go.

Right now I am having a tuna melt with an amazing marigold infused cheddar from England.

with saffron rice and broccoli in cheese sauce.

On edit: My sister brought tomatoes from the garden so I am having one of those instead. The broccoli is frozen anyway and can wait.

Served it on rice with plenty of sauce. It was just as good warmed over several days later.

Enjoy!

All done really thin sliced or slivered over the lettuce. Sliced pears on the side.

I can't have that much milk too often, and so far the alternatives don't work well for me.
I've tried soy, nutrish, and almond milks so far with no luck.
I wonder how Dr Pepper would work with Rice Krispies?

I have tried milk with acidophilus, but not Lactaid yet! I'll see if I can find it. Our local store has limited options, but Bill drives through two other towns to get home. Thanks for the suggestion!

I like to "fry" leftover pasta in some olive oil and get the edges brown and savory. Also having a whole avocado for each person, just halved and drizzled with a tarragon vinaigrette. Sourdough toast for those who can take the carbs.

Sports night here. Our local soccer team is on at 5, and my beloved Ducks are on at 7:30. It has been a spectacular weather day here: 70 degrees and sunny. Just perfect, and will be like this all next week. We have had no measurable precipitation for about ten weeks and that is VERY unusual for the Pacific Northwest.
