I have freezer full of roasted green chili's from last summer and I'm tired of green pork chili and chili relleno casserole. What else might I use them for???????

(55,014 posts)we also use frozen green chilis in regular salsa or green salsa instead of jalepenos
caldo de queso or other soups and I use them in my version of beef or chicken curry too (though fresh is better for that)

Large flour tortillas
Cream cheese
Diced chilies
Spread the cheese over tortillas, add diced chilies. Roll up real tight. Wrap and chill. Cut in 1/2 inch rounds to serve, topped with some diced green - cilantro, basil, chives, celery leaves or whatever.
I've thought about adding anchovies to the roll, but haven't tried it yet.

(24,146 posts)i'm making corn bread tonight, maybe i'll try that. and it'll be whole kernel corn tonight. i usually just sub the creamed corn for most of the liquid. do you make any adjustments with the whole kernel?

(111,274 posts)Roasted green chile goes in everything here from hamburgers to pizza to bagels to salads. I like them plain on tortilla chips, but I'm hardcore.
If you're not up for baking green chile bagels, try making green chile salsa and using it tacos and anything else that needs a little kick.
Green chile burgers are made with onions, garlic and green chile sweated together, cooled, and then mixed into the hamburger.
Green chile stew is boring beef stew without carrots and potatoes but with onion, garlic, celery, green chile and a can of drained and rinsed hominy.
Around here, turkeys that don't get sold over the holidays are turned into turkey asada, the brown meat stewed until it's fall off the bones tender in a mixture of tomatillo and green chile and then pulled like pork. It's good by itself over rice or you can do tacos or burritos with it.
I'm sure the web will give you even more ideas. These are just a few off the top of my head.

(2,282 posts)Roasted green chiles can be stuffed and roasted for great snacks and appetizers. Lots of recipes. I use goat cheese sometimes.

(50,130 posts)It sounds good to me. A jam that could be spread on bagels, used to glaze poultry, etc. You could make it with a fruit, such as peaches or pears. Or it could be a citrus-chile marmalade.

(11,425 posts)I frozze them in zip-lock bags and each holds about a dozen chili's so if I thaw one out I need to use up the whole bag. I'm thinking about stuffing them with some kind of chees and meat mix, dippinf in egg and cormeal and fry them up.
