Can't believe it's mid July already!
Still having tummy trouble, so nothing exciting for me.

(35,687 posts)So I am cleaning out my refrigerator. I will have the rest of my Eggplant-Almond Enchiladas.
I'm going to Chicago, and then up to the North Woods of Wisconsin. When in Chicago, I hope to visit The Meatloaf Bakery (the owner wrote that cookbook I recommended on Thurs's thread). In the early part of the week, I'll be dining in old lodge style places on the lake, like we did when we visited my aunt as kids.
Toward the end of the week, my dining adventures will continue, as my cooking genius husband will be joining me and we'll be dining at various spots he likes around Chicago.
I freaking hate traveling, but I'm hoping I'll have a good time nonetheless. I'm taking my notebook computer, so I'll be checking in.

(2,012 posts)I miss WI for its lakes and Chicago for its food. After all these years and places I still say "You haven't had pizza until you've been to Uno's" !

(146,218 posts)I''m thinking about a horseradish/mayo/mustard mix. Got some good potato chips, too.
BTW, better half bought this Olive Oil May thinking it would be better. Problem is, it's not mayonnaise, it's that miracle whip type dressing. I have tried to get past it, but I really hate the stuff. Going to toss it and break into the real stuff.

(146,218 posts)I don't know about you, but it's hot out here. Absolutely beautiful and I want the water to warm up, so I'm dealing with it!
Our grill is taking it's last gasping breaths. I expect it to fall off the side of the boat any day now.

(106,886 posts)Beautiful outside though (on the lawn under the tree) with a light breeze. Cold fried chicken would be perfect.
Sorry about your grill. It showed some wear, to good use I'd wager. Are there over the side grills designed specifically for boats?
