So I am cleaning out my refrigerator. I will have the rest of my Eggplant-Almond Enchiladas.

I'm going to Chicago, and then up to the North Woods of Wisconsin. When in Chicago, I hope to visit The Meatloaf Bakery (the owner wrote that cookbook I recommended on Thurs's thread). In the early part of the week, I'll be dining in old lodge style places on the lake, like we did when we visited my aunt as kids.

Toward the end of the week, my dining adventures will continue, as my cooking genius husband will be joining me and we'll be dining at various spots he likes around Chicago.

I freaking hate traveling, but I'm hoping I'll have a good time nonetheless. I'm taking my notebook computer, so I'll be checking in.

There are so many good restaurants in the city. Have a wonderful time in Chicago and in the North Woods. Take mosquito repellent for the latter!

I miss WI for its lakes and Chicago for its food. After all these years and places I still say "You haven't had pizza until you've been to Uno's" !

Bought these pre-formed turkey burgers at TJ's and looking forward to checking them out.

Sorry you are not feeling well yet, Lucinda.

I''m thinking about a horseradish/mayo/mustard mix. Got some good potato chips, too.

BTW, better half bought this Olive Oil May thinking it would be better. Problem is, it's not mayonnaise, it's that miracle whip type dressing. I have tried to get past it, but I really hate the stuff. Going to toss it and break into the real stuff.

Fruit plate to finish if I eat that far. Otherwise it'll be a good snack later on.

I don't know about you, but it's hot out here. Absolutely beautiful and I want the water to warm up, so I'm dealing with it!

Our grill is taking it's last gasping breaths. I expect it to fall off the side of the boat any day now.

15. Yeah, it's 81 here. May rethink the oven broil. Probably a weber thing later or a totally new meal.

Beautiful outside though (on the lawn under the tree) with a light breeze. Cold fried chicken would be perfect.

Sorry about your grill. It showed some wear, to good use I'd wager. Are there over the side grills designed specifically for boats?

Need to order one.

18. Oh. Thought it was a weber set-up. (I'd be hanging one from a long pole and pulling it in/out.)

A heat wave is descending on this area starting tomorrow. The humidity was horrible here today. It will be a week of cool salads and crock pot stuff.
